Central Bank of Armenia has declared the importance of Consumer Rights Protection, as it is crucial for ensuring financial stability and development of financial system.
At Central Bank of Armenia has been created Consumer Rights Protection and Market Conduct Division. The division has several functions to meet above mentioned objective. These functions are:
- Creation and amendment of necessary legislation to assure consumer rights protection.
- Creation and improvement of business conduct codes for financial institutions
- Implementation of the programs to raise financial knowledge and awareness among consumers, development and improvement of financial education tools
- Development and administration of the special web-page (www.abcfinance.am) designed for financial sector consumers
- Operation of hot line
