Meeting with IMF Representatives
On September 13, Central Bank of Armenia Governor Martin Galstyan met with the delegation led by Iva Petrova, head of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) mission in Armenia.
Governor Galstyan presented the overview of the financial sector of Armenia in 2023 and spoke about current economic development trends, challenges, and outlooks, policy priorities, and Central Bank reforms.
IMF Armenia Mission Chief Iva Petrova expressed satisfaction with the high-level symposium to mark the 30th anniversary of the Dram. The parties discussed the introduction of a new monetary framework, the IMF mission’s tasks and objectives, price and financial stability, macroprudential policy, as well as issues pertaining to the second stage of the economic reform support program for Armenia.
