e-Society & e-Economy

In 2021, the Central Bank and the Armenian government agreed to join efforts toward implementing the e-Society and e-Economy initiatives.

The vision behind the digital transformation agenda is to empower the population, fostering continuous improvement in their lives and well-being. This initiative also aims to create opportunities for the private sector, enhancing competitiveness, and ensuring substantial efficiency and governance in public institutions. The strategy involves developing and using ICT solutions centered around citizen experience and lifecycle, delivering seamless, proactive, convenient, and personalized services.

Recognizing that open and high-quality data is a vital asset for national wealth generation, the agenda equally emphasizes the development of an advanced, secure environment, along with necessary enablers, infrastructure, legal and regulatory framework.

The fundamental of the e-Society and e-Economy Program is that open and quality data is a critical asset generating national wealth. Developing an advanced and secure environment, enablers, and infrastructure is necessary for transforming Armenia into an e-society and e-economy.
