Scope and classifications: The gross foreign debt of RA is compiled on the basis of reports collected from financial organizations, as well as information received from various departments of RA. The RA Statistical Committee and Ministry of finance are the main partner agencies supporting the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia in the compilation of the gross external debt. Gross external debt is a statistical report that shows a country's external financial obligations at a specific point in time.
Revision: Conducting external sector statistics, the Central Bank of Armenia regularly carries out works to improve the items forming the gross external debt, which are reflected in the annual revisions of the external sector statistics (as a rule, at the end of June of each year). Current revisions mainly refer to the current year and are caused by data adjustments by reporting entities.
