| Concepts and definitions: |
Transfers received from abroad on behalf of individuals through RA banks and sent abroad by individuals from RA are compiled from 24 reporting forms "report on transfers of funds" collected from commercial banks. Transfers carried out for non-commercial purposes on behalf of individuals are categorized as follows:
a. gratuitous financial funds received from abroad (transferred abroad) in the client's name, the purpose of which is to meet current needs, in particular, current financial aid and donations (excluding financial aid received/transferred for real estate purchase, income received from the sale of real estate and from the implementation of construction works and investments), allowances, pensions and other comparable benefits. |
| Scope and classifications: |
This table comprises total money transfers by regions of Armenia and the city of Yerevan (including fast money transfers), regardless of nature, sent to and received from abroad through commercial banks of RA by individuals (including IEs). Net inflow in the table equals to the difference between inflow and outflow. |
