Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia Hovhannes Khachatryan and Board Member David Nahapetyan participated in the international PLUS-Forum held in Tashkent on May 28-29.

The forum brought together representatives of various sectors of the financial system from different countries of the world to discuss current issues of the financial and banking system and information technologies.

Being a panelist at the session dedicated to the crypto industry, Hovhannes Khachatryan spoke about the types of crypto assets in the world, their regulation, as well as the regulation of decentralized platforms. The Deputy Governor of the CBA also touched upon the types of services provided with crypto assets in the Republic of Armenia and the containment of money laundering/terrorism financing risks, as well as the prudential regulation of the sector.

During the discussion dedicated to digitalization, David Nahapetyan touched upon the current situation of digital transformation of Armenia and, in particular, of the financial system, presenting the country experience and future projects.
