Job responsibilities

Conduct mathematical-statistical and econometric analyses of real sector indicators and provide justification for the application of the most effective seasonal adjustment methods

Apply mathematical-statistical and data science methods to produce current assessments (nowcasting) of macroeconomic statistical indicators, including short-term forecasts
-
Prepare and present proposals for the development of the methodology of real sector statistics in the Republic of Armenia
-
Carry out activities related to the development and enhancement of the data bank
Required qualifications
-
Higher education in Economics
-
At least 1 year of relevant professional work experience (preferably in the financial system, economics, statistics, or data science)

Knowledge of economic statistics
-
Knowledge of econometric analysis methods
-
Knowledge of probability theory and mathematical statistics
-
Knowledge of macroeconomics and microeconomics
-
Skills in applying data analysis and data science methods
-
Ability to assess macroeconomic indicators and produce short-term forecasts
-
Knowledge of computer programs and tools, including:
– MS Office
– R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Power BI
-
Fluency in Armenian
-
Fluency in English and Russian
