On October 24–25, the Dilijan Training and Research Center of the Central Bank of Armenia hosted the international Black Swan Summit Armenia 2025, organized by the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN). The event brought together experts from the financial and technological sectors, investors, and representatives of regulatory bodies.

The conference was opened by Martin Galstyan, the Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, who emphasized Armenia’s ambition to become a regional hub for digital innovation and a trusted financial ecosystem. He noted that Armenia is at a decisive stage of its digital transformation, aiming not only to be a user of technologies but also a creator strengthening financial stability and investor confidence.

Key discussion topics included the role of artificial intelligence in the future of finance, regulation of digital assets and sustainable finance, and promotion of regional cooperation and trade through digital infrastructures. Participants analyzed digital identity, open data, and instant payment systems, highlighting their significance in enhancing efficiency and trust within the real economy.

The second day of the summit focused on new models of artificial intelligence and the digital economy. Discussions revolved around how small but high-tech nations like Armenia can build “asymmetric advantages” by specializing in fields such as biotechnology, cybersecurity, or AI-driven financial solutions. Experts explored the policy, education, and investment steps needed to bring Armenia’s AI ecosystem onto the global stage.

The closing session was dedicated to the Middle Corridor concept, focusing on the development of shared digital and financial infrastructures through regional cooperation creating fast, affordable, and secure exchange systems between Asia and Europe.

The Black Swan Summit Armenia 2025 served not only as a high-level professional platform but also as a unique environment for collaboration and idea exchange. It reinforced Armenia’s position as a regional innovation hub, where the future of digital finance and technological cooperation is being shaped.
