On Amendment to Governor Decision No. 1/478, dated December 22, 2025, of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia

In view of Article 18(4)(“g1”) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”; and Article 33(3) and Article 34 of the Republic of Armenia Law “On Normative Legal Acts”,

Decided:

1. In the preamble to Governor Decision No. 1/478, dated December 22, 2025, of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia On Approving the Rules for Opening, Servicing and Closing Accounts of Customers of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the “Decision”), the words “Article 2 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia and Article 16 of the Republic of Armenia Law On Legal Acts” shall be replaced with the words “18(4)(“g1”) of the Law”.
2. Paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2 of the model form of the Agreement on Opening, Servicing and Closing an Account with the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, set out in Appendix 1 to the Rules approved by the Decision, shall be amended to read as follows:
“1.1. The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia undertakes to accept and credit incoming funds to the accounts specified in Appendix 1.1 to this Agreement, jointly maintained with the Customer (account holder), to execute the Customer’s instructions for transfers from such accounts, to issue corresponding amounts, and to perform other account-related operations in accordance with the Rules approved by Governor Decision No. 1/478, dated December 22, 2025, of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia On Approving the Rules for Opening, Servicing and Closing Accounts of Customers of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”).
1.2. The Customer confirms that they have reviewed and accept the Rules published on the official website of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia (https://www.cba.am/hy/Chairman's-decisions/9325/), as well as they have reviewed and accept the Tariffs set out in Section 1 of the Rules.”.
3. In Appendix 1.1 to the Rules approved by the Decision, the words: “Contract No. _________” shall be replaced with the words: “Appendix 1 to Contract No. _________”; and the words: “Agreement on Opening, Servicing and Closing of the Client’s Account (on the Features)” shall be replaced with the words: “On the Features of Opening, Servicing and Closing of the Client’s Account”.
4. In the definition of “Operational Day” set out in Section 1 of the Rules approved by the Decision, the words: “Appendix 1.4” shall be replaced with the words: “Appendix 1.2”.
5. This decision to take effect in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.
