GOVERNOR DECISION

ON THE APPROVAL OF THE RULES GOVERNING THE OPENING, MAINTENANCE, AND CLOSURE OF CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS AT THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

Pursuant to Article 2 of the Republic of Armenia Law "On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia" and Article 16 of the Republic of Armenia Law "On Legal Acts",
I HEREBY DECIDE TO:
1. Approve the “Rules Governing the Opening, Maintenance, and Closure of Customer Accounts at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”, as set out in Annex 1 to this Decision.
2. Instruct the Legal Department and Operations Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia to amend and restate the following agreements in line with the standard form established by “Rules Governing the Opening, Maintenance, and Closure of Customer Accounts at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia” referred to in paragraph 1 of this Decision:
1) Within six months following the entry into force of this Decision, renew the agreements on the Rules Governing the Opening, Maintenance, and Closure of Customer Correspondent Accounts at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia entered into with banks and branches of foreign banks operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
2) As necessary, renew the agreements governing other accounts concluded with banks and branches of foreign banks operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
3) As necessary, renew the agreements on the Opening, Maintenance, and Closure of Accounts at the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia concluded with non-bank customers.
3. This Decision shall enter into force as prescribed by law.
