From June 30 to July 2, the European Central Bank's (ECB) annual high-level forum was held in Sintra, Portugal, under the theme "Adapting to Changing Dynamics: Macro Trends and Policy Responses". The Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, Martin Galstyan, also participated in the forum.
During the event, leaders of the world’s major central banks gathered in one place, including ECB President Christine Lagarde, chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve System Jerome Powell, governors of central and national banks of eurozone countries, the Bank of England, and the central banks of South Korea and Japan, as well as prominent representatives from academic and research institutions.
The forum agenda included discussions on the macroeconomic impacts of labor market changes, the effectiveness of monetary policy transmission mechanisms, challenges related to prudential supervision of non-bank financial institutions, new trends in international trade, and issues concerning the potential for economic growth in Europe.
Additionally, panel discussions were organized as part of the forum, focusing on the challenges in monetary policy and central bank communication within the eurozone, especially under the conditions of a changing global economy.
