Set of fake silver collector coins dedicated to 80 years of death of Teodor Axentowicz is currently on sale on eBay

The Central Bank of Armenia informs that a set of silver collector coins dedicated to 80 years of death of Teodor Axentowicz, a Polish painter of Armenia origin, is currently on sale on eBay. The set consists of 9 coins, each of which depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of Armenia and its face value 100 dram, and has inscriptions in Armenian.

The Central Bank of Armenia is warning that these coins are not the issues of the Central Bank of Armenia, and consequently, are fake. The required measures on identification of counterfeiters and bringing them to account have been taken.

We also inform that in 2010 the Central Bank of Armenia issued only one type of “Teodor Axentowicz” silver collector coin, the issue quantity of which has been sold.
