Young Professionals Program

In 2022, the Central Bank of Armenia launched the Young Professionals Engagement Program with the aim of integrating bright, open-minded, and ambitious youth into its team. The program was designed to offer young professionals the opportunity to work on diverse, meaningful projects and to gain a broad understanding of the Bank’s operations.

Understanding the interests and motivations of the new generation was a key priority. The program targeted youth who value dynamic, challenging work environments and are capable of contributing to strategic planning.

The first cycle of the program lasted 18 months and consisted of three project-based rotations, each lasting six months. This format allowed participants to gain experience across multiple departments, acquire diverse skill sets, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the Bank. By the end of the program, participants had built professional networks and were fully integrated into their teams.

The program was developed and implemented with the support of senior management and various departments. To engage potential applicants, the Central Bank team visited universities across Armenia and organized tours to the Bank and its Dilijan Research Center. These informal meetings helped raise awareness and interest in careers at the Bank.

The selection process included logic and language tests followed by interviews. Out of all applicants, 37 students were selected to join the Bank as project specialists while continuing their studies. Additionally, a talent pool was created from other high-potential candidates to be considered for future roles.

In 2024, the program concluded successfully: 21 participants were hired across six departments. These young professionals demonstrated a strong alignment with the Bank’s values and became active carriers of its internal culture. The Bank also strengthened its onboarding processes, introducing mentoring and support systems to ensure the effective integration of both young and newly hired staff.

Building on this success, the second cycle of the program was launched in February 2025. It features a revised structure: a 12-month duration and participation in two strategic projects, offering an even more focused and impactful experience.
