Job responsibilities
- Develop statistics on international trade in services; improve the methodology in cooperation with the Statistical Committee; and verify the reliability of the collected data.
- Compile statistics on trade in goods in accordance with the balance of payments framework; update the relevant methodology; identify new data sources; initiate surveys; and carry out necessary supplementary calculations.
- Collect and consolidate external sector information from insurance companies, pension funds, securities market participants, and other financial institutions. Monitor developments in the sector and implement necessary methodological changes.
- Carry out activities aimed at improving the statistics of the Republic of Armenia’s external accounts, as well as revising historical time series of external accounts.
- Process and provide information in accordance with requests and commitments from international organizations, other countries and organizations, Central Bank departments, government agencies, and various delegations.
Required qualifications
- Higher education in economics or finance
- At least 1 year of professional experience in economics, statistics, or finance
- Knowledge of macroeconomics
- Knowledge of general statistics
- Knowledge of international economics
- Knowledge of accounting
- Data management and database skills
- Mathematical data analysis skills
- Knowledge of probability theory and mathematical statistics
- Knowledge of microeconomics
- Proficiency in Russian and English
- Excellent command of Armenian
