On Conducting Inspections of Compliance with Legislation at Foreign Exchange Offices

 

In view of Article 391 and 395 of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”; and

Pursuant to Article 18(4)(“g1”) of the Republic of Armenia Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”,

                     Decided: 

  1. Instruct the Financial Supervision and Licensing Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia to conduct inspections of compliance with applicable legislation at entities licensed to engage in the purchase and sale of foreign currency (including their licensed branches) during the period from January 15, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
  2. Approve, in accordance with the Appendix, the list of foreign exchange offices licensed to engage in the purchase and sale of foreign currency.
  3. Assign responsibility for monitoring the implementation of this decision to the Financial Supervision and Licensing Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.
  4. 4. This decision to take effect upon its signing.
