ON INTRODUCING AMENDMENTS TO DECISION NO. 1/544 L OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA DATED 3 AUGUST 2016

For the purpose of ensuring the replacement of Message Type (MT) messages used in the "Electronic Payments System" of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia with ISO 20022 standard "MX" messages, establishing measures and grounds related to the continuity of processing current payment messages, as well as invalidating the MT messages established for the "MPI" project due to its closure,
Based on Part 3 of Article 2 and Point "g1" of Part 4 of Article 18 of the Law “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia”, and Part 1 of Article 33 and Article 34 of the Law “On Normative Legal Acts”:

I D E C I D E:

1. To make the following amendments to Appendix 1 "Summary Catalog of Descriptions of External Financial Electronic Message Formats of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia" (hereinafter: Catalog 1) and Appendix 2 "Summary Catalog of Descriptions of Internal Financial Electronic Message Formats of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia" (hereinafter: Catalog 2) approved by Decision No. 1/544 L of the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia "On Approval of Summary Catalogs of External and Internal Electronic Message Formats of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia" dated 3 August 2016:

1) In the "Table of Contents" section of Catalog 1, remove the following: "MT 100 Payment Order", "MT 132 Multiple Payment Order", "MT 969 Register of Interbank Payments", "MT 125 Customer Payment Order", "MT 307 Application for Foreign Currency Encashment and Non-cashification", "MT 308 Application for Purchase and Sale of Foreign Currency", "MT 309 Application for Foreign Exchange Swap Transaction", "MT 317 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Encashment/Non-cashification Transaction", "MT 318 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Purchase/Sale Transaction", "MT 319 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Provision/Attraction Swap Transaction"

2) In the "Introduction" section of Catalog 1, the 5th paragraph and its sub-points shall be recognized as null and void.

3) In Chapter 3, "Description of Fields" of Catalog 1, in the description of "Field :21: Transaction Reference Number", replace the words "MT 100 Payment Order" with the words "MT 108".

4) The following sections defined in Chapter 5, "Description of Formats of External Message Types Used in the Central Bank of the RA" of Catalog 1 shall be recognized as null and void:

a. "MT 100 Payment Order" section,
b. "MT 132 Multiple Payment Order" section,
c. "MT 969 Register of Interbank Payments" section,
d. "MT 125 Customer Payment Order" section,
e. "MT 307 Application for Foreign Currency Encashment and Non-cashification" section
f. "MT 308 Application for Purchase and Sale of Foreign Currency" section,
g. "MT 309 Application for Foreign Exchange Swap Transaction" section,
h. "MT 317 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Encashment/Non-cashification Transaction" section
i. “MT 318 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Purchase/Sale Transaction” section,
j. "MT 319 Response to Application for Foreign Currency Provision/Attraction Swap Transaction" section.

5) In the "MT 952 On Rejection of Transaction" section of Catalog 1, in the description of the message, replace the word "MT 100" with "MT 108" and recognize the words "MT 100 message view" and the subsequent MT 100 table as null and void.

6) In the "MT n95 Query for Correction" section, "MT n98 Individual Message" section, and "MT n99 Free Format Message" section of Catalog 1, in the description of those messages, replace the word "MT 100" with the word "MT 108".

2. This Decision shall enter into force in the manner established by law.
