Hovhannes Khachatryan
Deputy Governor
Hovhannes Khachatryan was elected Deputy Governor by the National Assembly of Armenia in January 2022. Previously, from 2020 to 2022 he served as a CBA Board member. Mr. Khachatryan is a member of CBA’s Executive Committee, Licensing and Supervisory Committee, Financial Regulation Committee, Financial Stability Committee etc. Currently, as CBA representative, Mr. Khachatryan serves as the Board Chairman of the “Armenian Card” CJSC, “National Mortgage Company” RCO CJSC, “Home for Youth” RCO CJSC and “STAK Money Transfer” CJSC.
Hovhannes Khachatryan got his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Master’s Degree in Economic Geography from Yerevan State University. In 2019 Mr. Khachatryan got his Master’s Degree in business administration from the Booth School of Business, the University of Chicago. Mr. Khachatryan participated in training programs at Harvard University, foreign central banks, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations. Hovhannes Khachatryan is CFA charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst).
Hovhannes Khachatryan started his career at Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Armenia. From 2008-2020 Mr. Khachatryan continued his professional activity at Ameriabank in position of the Head of Assets, Liabilities, and Capital Management Department.
