In order to realize the 2-nd sub point of the 41-th point of 30-th decree of the Government made in 2009 on 23-th of July, this function has been transmitted to the Central bank after negotiations between Central bank and National statistical service (previously 2011 it was NSS’s objective). The transmission of the statistics of the external accounts to Central Bank has the objective of improving its quality. In the most countries the compilation of the external accounts is the objective of Central Banks, as usually Central banks have more information about external transactions. In order to make the transmission of the external account from NSSA to Central Bank more smoothly staff from both organizations have worked closely together and have signed a cooperation agreement. Although the Central bank is the official compiler of these accounts, the NSSA still remains the main partner agency for compiling these accounts.

Central bank has published external accounts for the first quarter 2011 on June 30 2011. At the same time external accounts for the 2010 are compiled and revised by the NSS. NSS will publish the annual bulletins of BOP, IIP and ED for 2010: In the future those annual bulletins will be published by the Central bank, but they will be also included in “Socio-economic situation of RA”, “Statistical yearbook of Armenia” and other publications of NSS.
